Program (PHP)

Basecamp Treatment Program

PHP is a treatment program for people dealing with mental health or substance use problems. The program includes focused therapy during the day, but patients go home at night. It follows a “step-down” process, meaning the treatment becomes less intense over time. This type of program helps people move from full-time care to regular outpatient treatment.

IOP - Intensive
Outpatient Program

Trailhead Treatment Program

IOP is treatment for people recovering from mental health or substance use issues. It provides structured therapy and support several days a week, but patients don’t stay overnight.

In an IOP, people attend group and individual counseling sessions, learn coping skills, and build healthy routines while still living at home. It’s often used as a step down from inpatient rehab or as a flexible option for those who need strong support without 24-hour care.

Mountain West’ IOP Recovery Program Structure:

The IOP program provides people with more day-to-day freedom while giving support, structure, accountability, and building healthy routines.

Schedule & Structure:
  • Groups run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 5:30 PM–8:30 PM (three evenings weekly, three hours per session).
  • Designed to allow clients to balance treatment with work, school, or family responsibilities.
Therapy:
  • Individual sessions occur biweekly with a primary therapist.
Support Services:
  • Virtual format: clients attend groups online, providing flexibility and accessibility.
Level of Care:
  • Step down from PHP or a starting point for those needing intensive support but not daily care.
  • Focuses on skill-building, relapse prevention, and integration into daily life.
